With the Revised GRE, you can only test every 60 days.
Who can take the GRE: There is no particular eligibility standard for attempting GRE Test. Applicants can look for the test regardless of age and credentials. Nonetheless, the candidate has to fulfill the admission criteria for specific institutes where he/she is applying.
GRE Test Pattern: GRE Computer-based test is the most frequently attempted GRE test format. Nonetheless, paper-based format is another option one can choose in the absence of the Computer based test. The total duration of the test is 3 hours 40 minutes. There are six areas and a 10-minute break is given after the third section throughout the examination.
GRE Exam Content: The GRE exam has two options. GRE Subject Test and GRE General test. The GRE Exam curriculum is different for both formats. The GRE subject test is concentrated on judging the candidates knowledge in precise fields where as the GRE General test processes a candidates Critical Thinking, Quantitative Ability and Verbal reasoning ability along with Analytical writing skills.
GRE Test Dates: If you are looking for the Computer based GRE exam that you can take the exam throughout the year at the Prometric Centers. Once you take the GRE and for any reason you wish to retake the test you can retake it once in every 21 days not more than 5 time in one calendar year.
GRE Exam registration: If you plan to take the GRE, then the first step is to create a My GRE account on the ETS website.
GRE Score: Once you have completed the GRE you will have access to three score reports. Verbal reasoning is scored on a scale of 130 to 170. Quantitative reasoning is scored on a scale of 130 to 170 Analytical Writing Assessment score is available on 0-6 level. The official score are available online in about 2 weeks from the date of the exam.
Validity of the Score: The GRE score holds good for 5 years from the date of taking the exam and the score report requests are accepted up to 3 months form the date of taking the exam
